Chapter History
Melva Hukill Heer was the moving force behind the founding of our alumnae chapter. After a Zeta Day in Easton, Md., in the late 1970s, a group of Zetas decided to start an alumnae chapter. The group included Melva Hukill Heer, Dorothy Ash Slack, Lillian Weekley Shelton, Pat Humphreys Troy, Pat Bentley Labelle, Barbara Townsend Cromwell, and Fern Kibler Frye. The Annapolis, Maryland, Alumnae Chapter of ZTA was chartered on October 23, 1983.
Each year, our chapter is made up of Zetas from Anne Arundel, Queen Anne's, Kent, Calvert, and Howard counties. We are a fun-loving group that ranges from new college graduates to members in their youthful 60s and 70s. We plan events and programs to match our members' interests. We hope you'll join us!
